2018 Launch

After completing repairs and starting the engine, I arranged to have the boat launched on May 10, intending to sail it down to Urbanna during the next week or two. Unfortunately the engine overheated within five minutes of run time. The engine stopped running after the carburetor gummed up. After swapping it out, I found that a crack had developed just behind the thermostat housing.

I rigged a borrowed outboard motor on the aft ladder. Although this worked at first, I could not restart it as night fell. I had to swallow my pride and phone for a tow.
