2019 Season
In between repairs and overheating issues that were resolved later, I really got to enjoy Jade on the Rappahannock River... after getting over initial anxiety when first maneuvering in and out of the slip. There’s a bridge and finger pier directly aft of my slip, so stalling the engine needs to be avoided!
As mentioned before, I finally realized that there was probably an obstruction in the exhaust hose from the water lift muffler to the overboard outlet since both water and exhaust were affected, causing (1) engine overheating, and (2) loss of power. Replacing the hose is now highest on the priority list.
Unfortunately, making the top side of the boat look as good as the engine was started too late in the season. The weather turned cold and wet in the fall, so only small projects got started.
