Pearson 33 Drawing

The boat was built by Pearson Yachts, USA, and designed by William Shaw, a fellow Kings Pointer (class of ’47). The first Pearson 33 was built in 1969.

This particular Pearson 33 hull was configured for cruising (diagrams have "cruising interior" denoted in the manual). It has three water tanks (V-Berth, Port, and Starboard) for a total capacity of 56 gallons. It has a keel/centerboard hull, therefore it can draw as little as 4 feet, and 7.58 feet with the centerboard down.

Engine

Equipped with a gasoline-powered engine, the current Atomic 4 was a rebuilt 1974 model. The engine was manufactured for the Navy in World War II to power lifeboats.

I recently overhauled the topside of the engine (see gallery). All the parts and guidance I needed to "get ’er done" can be found at the Moyer Marine website.
